Salvation Army Trading Company have opened their fourth and fifth Donation Centres in Banbury and Exeter respectively.
As part of an their ongoing aim to provide easy-access donation points for the public, the Business Development Team have opened two more Donation Centres in the last two months, this time in Banbury (Oxfordshire) and Exeter (Devon), with two more in the pipeline for the near future.
Banbury, whose doors opened on 20th December 2018, has joined SATCoL’s GREAT BIG Charity Superstore in the town of Banbury. Many of the donations will be available for sale in the on-site charity shop, with higher value donations being directed to the superstore nearby.
Since its opening, the Banbury Donation Centre has performed extremely well.
Manager Marc Clements said: “January is an excellent time for donations for the business anyway, with many people clearing their homes after Christmas to make way for their new items or to get rid of unwanted gifts. We’ve certainly seen evidence of this as we have been so busy since opening.”
I’m really pleased with how well the team has been working so far and am looking forward to the future of this Donation Centre, making as much money as we can for the charity.”
Exeter Donation Centre opened on 31st January and has performed similarly well in its first few weeks of trading.
With the next two Donation Centre openings approaching, namely in Bolton and Kettering, Nicola Crawford, Business Development Manager said: “We know that Donation Centres perform very well and the more we open the better accustomed we become to the opening process and how to make them successful from the off.
The whole process is speeding up and we have been working alongside the marketing team to refine the branding and internal design. We’re really happy with the formula we have at the moment and I’m sure that future Donation Centres will also prove to be successful.”
